It was a hot and exciting day at Wayne State University on August 28, 2012. Festi Fall welcomed new students and some returning ones as well to a new year on campus. Music, Food, and Student Orgs filled the day and definitely entertained students before they headed back to classes.

Over at the WAYN Radio table we had a great time talking with interested students and can’t wait to work with them!

See what Wayne State University has to offer and explore all of the different student organizations  on campus.  Get info on how to be more involved on campus, and  Study Abroad Programs.

Don’t forget to visit the WAYN Radio booth!

Stop by Gullen Mall from 11:00- 2:00p.m

Also visit  http://getinvolved.wayne.edu for more information on participating in campus life.

Don’t forget to register your myWSUcard

Wayne State University has implemented a new process for receiving financial aid refunds.  You have most likely received the green envelope in the mail from Higher One.  But,  you must remember to register the card even if you do not expect to receive refunds from Wayne State. In order to receive your fall refund by August 22, 2012 students must take action by August 17,2012.

Don’t be the last person to register their card, and honestly the card looks pretty spiffy.  For more information about the process and the refund options available to you check out the Fiscal Operations Office of the Bursar.

Want to join the Wayne State Insiders?

Hate to break it to you but the month is August and that means it’s time for the Fall semester to start up again.  On the other hand maybe you are like us and can’t wait for campus life to begin.  If you are a positive advocate for Wayne State University, want to spread the work about new events on campus, or are interested in the city life around you then there is an event for you!

On August 21, the Welcome Center will be hosting the  Wayne State Insiders kickoff meeting from 12:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. The Wayne State Insiders consists of alumni, friends, students, parents, faculty and staff.   Anyone wanting to learn more about Wayne State and the Detroit area are welcome to join.

The event will have a 30 minute presentation and a bus tour of Midtown led by Jeanette Pierce of D:hive so mark your calendars and get ready for the upcoming semester.
