Member: Tunde Olaniran
Artist Tunde Olaniran spoke with Michigan Movement host Angelina earlier this week. Tunde Olaniran has toured Europe and still manages to be an active part in his community with projects like Raise it up! Youth Arts and Awareness. His sound can be described as a soulful pop mixture but one great description he shared was “hyper modern pop” so we will stick to that for now.
Tomorrow Tunde Olaniran will perform at the Trumbellplex for Zombietronix Halloween Party. Doors open at 8pm

If you are a frequent listener of waynradio.net then you know the importance of registering to vote. For the Fall semester you can’t go a day listening without hearing a PSA about voting, or an interview.
In September we spoke with American Civil Liberties Union staff attorney Dan Korobkin and Secretary of State Mobile Office Manager ,Pierre Batton. Batton along with the mobile Secretary of State Office, helped register people to vote and shared information about voting regulations.
October 9, 2012 is the last day for voter registration!

Members: Blaksmith and Mister
(Interview begins: 14:55)
Passalacqua came into the studio for a chat on their music, ice cream, and the meaning of “prop-hop”. Passalacqua has an underground sound that shows signs of Old School hip/hop with a bit of funk dashed in. If you are in need of a live performance that will leave you wondering, “what is happening?”, “I need this music”, then this is your group. On stage members Blaksmith, and Mister don some pretty nifty masks and some other surprises but you will have to check them out for the details.
Passalacqua had their record release of their collaboration with Detroit’s Duende this weekend, and released their video for “Been A Minute” earlier in September.
Check out their site for downloads and great tunes

Catz N Dogz
Members: Grzegorz and Wojciech or Greg and Voitek
We spoke with Voitek over in Berlin from Catz N Dogz for their Detroit appearance. Catz n Dogz filled the upper level of Sinbads on the Marina earlier in September. Thankfully the venue had a porch because the floor was packed with dancers. Catz n Dogz has that “housey” sound that Detroiters love.
If you missed their performance check out their music on the Catz n Dogz Soundcloud
